Let's Demystify Sourdough.
We'll guide you on a journey, starting with the very basics—soil, grain, and flour—and working our way to the final product: delicious, nourishing sourdough bread. Along the way, we'll discuss the importance of food choices in maintaining both personal health and the health of our planet. You'll gain insights into topics like ultra-processed foods, fibre, gut health, and the connection between food and nature.
We will demo a walnut and red pepper dip from Syria which will be served with sourdough crackers made by you! We will also have some mushroom and seaweed páte with our lunch
Once we get the process under way we will enjoy some sourdough pancakes and no sugar fruit compote with our cuppa of choice!

You’ll get hands-on with dough, refresh a starter, mix, prove, and shape your loaves, and even create your own butter and pickles to enjoy with your bread. While your bread bakes, you’ll sit down for a seasonal plant-based lunch, prepared with locally sourced ingredients (some of which may come from our own garden!)—topped off with delicious local cheeses.

- Two Loaves of Bread to Take Home: You'll make two loaves of sourdough—one to keep and one to share with a friend or loved one.
